Sounds like : What an alien metal band would sound like if they were pissed off.
What it is : Gimmicky type stuff aside, this really kicks ass in all departments. If you like tough metal with character then this fits the bill.
Strong Track : ' Take No Prisoners ' is a fine piece of work that will leave you shaking long after you stopped headbanging. Plus, all the words in the title mean something you can understand.
Lyrical Content : Well...there's Bukatha, and Trosstus, and Vermingods, and Brainslugs, so...you know, it ain't deep.
The Cover : It meets the WHOA THAT'S COOL factor. But just once it would be cool to see wicked looking dudes in white makeup and dressed in black NOT coming out of fog or mist or smoke. Are there no clear days on their planet ?
What we wouldn't change : Again, sound production takes the forefront in helping establish musical integrity.
What we'd do different : Ummm...Mammutant ? Really ? There is most definitely a damn good reason they chose this name but it's just to close to Mammal or Mammary for comfort.
Overall : Good stuff. If you put the novelty of the fashion and the play on alien type stuff aside then you're left with one hell of a kick ass sonic explosion. Thing is, they don't want you to put that all aside. For they are Mammutant.
