Metal Monthly: So Robert tell us a little about Behind the Suit and tie...
Robert: Behind the Suit and tie is A bold look inside the METAL recording industry. The film will showcase the truth of how the music industry is being affected by the downward spiral of CD sales and how new and up and coming artists must learn to adjust to changing times. (ADVANCE MONEY), it will also walk you through the every day life of how a record label and how things work.
Metal Monthly: What is your involvement with the movie, and why did you choose to shed some light on this subject?
Robert: I’m the producer, creator and writer for the film. And one day I felt the need to open this topic up to metal fans world wide, and expose the truth first hand.
Metal Monthly: Nice, so you are a fan of metal? That is awesome, we share the same passion, what are your ties to metal?
Robert: I'm a fan for life. I got tied into metal at the tender age of 15
Metal Monthly: Killer Bro...What kind of music did you grow up listening to?
Robert: I grew up listening to a lot of Metal/Hardcore/Crossover and any thing that was heavy and had a good hook to it ,bands like Megadeth, Overkill, Testament, Maximum
Penalty, Ludichrist, Crumbsuckers, Leeway, Cryptic Slaughter and many others.
Metal Monthly: Megadeth Owns Man!... What is The Best Concert or First concert, you went to that impacted your life
Robert: Best: Pantera First: Iron Maiden, none ever impacted life.
Metal Monthly: I beg to differ, You made this film...Tell us a little bit about your work history, or professional background
Robert: I was the VP of A&R over at crash music inc for 5 years, I have worked with Flotsam And Jetsam , Primer 55 ,40 Below Summer, Skinlab, Leeway, Bullet-Boys, Black N Blue, Seven Wiser, Jungle Rot, Ashes of Your Enemy,Souls Harbor and many others.
Metal Monthly: Wow...What are your thoughts on the current Metal Recording industry, is the end near? or is this just a new Beginning?
Robert: I feel it's a new beginning on the artist end as they will have full control of there music in the future now that you have web sites like myspace that reaches out to music fans world wide. The near end is coming real soon for the labels that don't do there home work.
Metal Monthly: So True Bro... What was the funniest thing or blooper that happened
during the shoot that stands out in your mind?
Robert: I will be adding some blooper moments at the end of the film so you will have to wait on that.
Metal Monthly: Without giving away too much... Who can we expect to see in this film, or any names you want to drop.

Robert: Not at all. DRI is first rate.
Metal Monthly: Cool we agree on DRI....Here is a standard Question I ask most Bands:...If you could send one cd/album up in the space shuttle to be left on another planet, to be found by other life...what cd/album would you send to
represent American Metal?
Robert: That's a real good question ,I would have to say Fear Factory's Demanufacture
Metal Monthly: What are you currently listening to on your ipod/cd player?
Robert: I don't own an ipod I FUCKING HATE THEM ,right I'm currently rocking out to the brand new Maximum Penalty other disc behind that f ollow as Shadows Fall Threads of Life, Black Market Hero, Seven Dust.

Metal Monthly: So when can we expect to see Behind the Suit and Tie? In theaters? Film Festivals? DVD?
Robert: "Full production was started on Nov. 1, 2007 in NYC and things are moving along as planned. We just got back from covering NAMM in L.A. as well as MIDEM in Cannes, France."For the next month we will be editing all the footage, so we can create a kick-ass trailer for promotion. We are hoping to have the film completed by April and in your local
music store by mid summer. We are currently in negotiations with several parties that have taken interest in distribution of the film.
